The release date of his next film ‘Battle of Galwan’ was announced on Salman Khan’s 60th birthday (27 December). The film is going to be released in theaters on 17 April 2026. In such a situation, Salman Khan’s film was going to face Alia Bhatt and Sharvari Wagh’s film ‘Alpha’ at the box office. But to avoid this clash, Yash Raj Films is once again thinking of postponing the release date of ‘Alpha’.
This is the second time when the release date of ‘Alpha’ will be postponed. Earlier, the film was scheduled to hit theaters on December 25, 2025. But due to delay in VFX, the makers had postponed the release date of the film, after which the film was scheduled to release on 17 April 2026. But now due to ‘Battle of Galwan’ the release date of ‘Alpha’ is going to be extended once again.
New release date of ‘Alpha’ may be released soon
Bollywood Hungama quoted a source as saying – YRF had earlier announced April 17 as a tentative date because it was a good time for the release and the release of any film had not been announced before. Now Aditya Chopra has come to know that Salman’s film Battle of Galwan is also to be released on the same date. The two have been in a relationship for a long time and they immediately decided that they would leave the date of April 17 for Salman. YRF should announce the new release date of Alpha soon after assessing the film release calendar for the next few months.
Star cast of ‘Alpha’
The film ‘Alpha’, being made under the banner of Yash Raj Films, is a spy-thriller. Alia Bhatt and Sharvari Wagh will be seen in the lead roles in this female lead film. Apart from this, Bobby Deol can be seen in villain avatar. Anil Kapoor will also be a part of this film directed by Shiv Ravel.
