A few years ago in Bollywood, many big names came out during the Meetu Movement. One of them was the name of famous music composer Anu Malik, which many women had made many allegations due to sexual harassment.
Now recently, his nephew and composer Amal Malik has broken his silence on this dispute and has clearly said that he has nothing to do with his uncle and his family.
I never supported Anu Malik
In an interview to Siddharth Kannan, Amal said, “When Anu Malik was accused, I still did not talk to him nor support him.” He further said that ‘I do not consider Anu Malik as my family’.
Amal has also made it clear that there is no close or family relationship between him and Anu Malik.
Amal Malik believes that when many people accuse the same person the same, then there is definitely a truth in it. He further said- Smoke arises where there is a fire, no one is accused of anyone.
Father had expressed concern
Amal told that when all this was happening, his father Dabboo Malik asked him, your name will not come like this, right? To which Amal replied that I can never become a person who asked a girl to ask for physical favorite in exchange for singing. All girls working with me feel safe.
He further told that he has not met Anu Malik and his family for years. He said, I do not go to any party or function and our conversation has also reduced now.
He also told that if he sees him on an industry event or public platform, then he definitely helps them. This is rarely seen in Amaal Malik’s impatient industry.
