Amazfit Active 2: Design
The first thing that is felt as soon as Amazfit Active 2 is taken in hand is its premium design. This watch is as sleek in appearance, being less than 30 grams of weight. However, during my testing, it took some time to identify the workouts many times and sometimes it detected a different activity like running. There may be a delay. For health monitoring, it has features like 24×7 heart rate tracking, SPO2 sensor, stress level monitor, sleep tracking (including Rem Analysis) and even skin temperature sensing. I tested all of them several times and compared Apple Watch and Samsung’s premium smartwatch. Here the numbers of the three were almost the same. Physical steps counter and watch numbers also made a difference of 10–20 steps, which reflects its stutter.
Sleep tracking equipped with REM Analysis performed its work on average. Watch did not record small power naps here properly. The battery performance of Amazfit Active 2 is also very good in this budget. The brand claims that it can last up to 10 days in normal usage and 5 days if GPS is constantly used. It had about 70% of the batteries when taken out of the box and I used it throughout the week, which included the heart-vet, notification and every night’s sleep tracking and even then the battery was left in the watch. Its PIN Charger is a compact, through which the watch is full charged in a few hours.
