A very interesting news has come out from the politics of Maharashtra. BJP and Congress have come together, sidelining Shinde faction in Ambernath Municipal Council. With the support of Congress, BJP is going to get majority in Ambernath Municipal Council. Shiv Sena (Shinde faction) has termed this alliance as ‘indecent alliance’. This alliance has proved to be painful for the Shinde faction. It is noteworthy that the grand alliance which is in power in Maharashtra includes BJP, Ajit Pawar and Eknath Shinde.

Congress and Ajit Pawar group support BJP

Tejashree Karanjule of BJP has won the post of Municipal President. BJP is going to achieve majority by forming an alliance of 32 corporators comprising 16 from BJP, 12 from Congress and 4 from Nationalist Congress Party (Ajit Pawar faction).

Betrayed Shiv Sena – MLA

Meanwhile, Shinde group has taken a dig at BJP and called it an indecent alliance. This alliance is being considered as a blow to Shiv Sena (Shinde faction). Shinde faction MLA Balaji Kinikar said that BJP, which talks about ‘Congress-free India’, has betrayed Shiv Sena by joining hands with Congress.

BJP Vice President retaliated

BJP Vice President Gulabrao Karanjule Patil said that if Shinde, who has been involved in corruption for the last 25 years, had been in power with the group, it would have been a real ‘indecent alliance’. He also said that several attempts were made to hold talks with Shiv Sena (Shinde faction) regarding the grand alliance for Ambernath Municipal Council but no positive response was received from their leaders.

Mahayuti’s tremendous performance in local body elections

Let us tell you that the results of Municipal Council and Nagar Panchayat elections in Maharashtra were declared in December. BJP emerged as the largest party in these local body elections. Mahayuti won the post of president in 288 city councils and 207 city panchayats. In these elections, the opposition alliance Mahavikas Aghadi won only 44 seats.
