Amazon Kindle Paperwhite has been priced at Rs 16,999 in India and is available for purchase on Amazon.in. The company has launched it for the e-read user base that wants more batteries, big screens and smooth experience. There are more than 1.5 crore e-books available on Amazon’s Kindle Store, including Indian languages like Hindi, Marathi and Tamil. At the same time, Kindle Unlimited Users get access to more than 20 lakh eBooks and also get a limited rotating selection free for Prime subscribers.
This time the biggest change in the device has come as a 7 -inch display. It is the largest screen size in any paperwhite so far and its 300 PPI glare-free panel claims to give paper-like reading experience even in the sun. It also has adjustable warm light and dark mode, which makes it easier to read in any light condition.
The device is now already slim and light. Holding it with one hand with a new body design is expected to be easy to read for a long time. It now gets USB-C charging and the company claims that it can run for 12 weeks once charged.
Kindle Paperwhite now has 16GB of internal storage and it is also waterproof with IPX8 ratings, that is, you can use it in the pool side or bath without fear. The device also has features like X-Ray, Word Wise and Inbuilt Dictionary, so that user can know the meaning of characters or words immediately.
