New job opportunities for Indians in Russia are constantly increasing. India’s Ambassador Vinay Kumar recently informed that Russian companies, especially machinery and large companies of electronics sector, are showing deep interest in providing employment to Indian citizens. Due to this, the number of Indian workers is increasing rapidly there.

Ambassador Vinay Kumar made this statement during an interview to Russia’s official news agency TASS. He said that as Indian citizens are taking advantage of employment opportunities in Russia, the burden of the Indian consulate is also increasing.

Russia needs skilled human resources

This initiative of Russia has come to light at a time when immigration policy is constantly getting strict in western countries like America, Britain and Canada. Getting visas and work permits in these countries has now become difficult compared to before. In such a situation, Russia is emerging as a better option for Indian youth.

The Indian ambassador said that Russia currently needs a large number of skilled human resources and India has workers and professionals who can fulfill this demand. Under Russia’s laws and rules, the companies there are appointing Indians.

In which areas are the demand of Indians increasing

Till now most Indian workers in Russia worked in construction and textile sectors. But now the demand of Indians in technical sectors like machinery and electronics is increasing rapidly. Companies are very fond of hard work, dedication and technical knowledge of Indian employees in these areas.

This is the reason that Russian companies are taking steps towards giving jobs to more people than India. However, the increasing number of Indian workers has made the functioning of the Indian consulate in Russia more challenging.

Constant expansion of Indian community in Russia

Today, the number of Indian communities in Russia is continuously increasing. It is estimated that around 14,000 Indians live there. Apart from this, about 1,500 Afghan citizens are also of Indian origin, who have been settled in Russia for a long time.

Indian students remain identity

About 90 percent of Indian students studying in Russia are getting medical education in more than 20 universities across the country. Apart from this, Indian students are also making their mark in areas like engineering, aeronautics, designing and computer science.

Know how to get a student visa

To study in Russia, admission and invitation letter from a recognized university is first necessary. For visa, passport, educational documents, medical reports, bank statements and photos are required. The application is made through the Russian Embassy or the VFS center and processing takes 2-4 weeks.

The initial visa gets 90 days, which can be extended to the course period. Russia’s university, especially for medical and engineering education, is affordable and world class. Indian students experience that the environment of studies there is positive and the degree is recognized in many countries including India.
