America imposed reciprocal tariff on India from 2nd mea replied on trump announs

Mea on us tariff: US President Donald Trump had announced to impose recipes on April 2 on many countries of the world including India, on which the reaction of the Indian Ministry of External Affairs has come. The MEA said on Friday (March 21) that the two countries are negotiating to resolve issues like tariffs and market access.

This reaction from the Ministry of External Affairs has come two days after Donald Trump planned to put a recipe crocus on India next month. This step of America can affect Indian exports. Mea spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said that both countries are talking and it is expected that soon there will be some kind of understanding between the two.

What did Mea say about the American tariff?

Jaiswal told in media briefing that India is talking to the US administration to finalize the beneficial multi -regional trade agreement for both countries. However, he did not directly answer the question whether India expects a discount in the reciperook tariff to be implemented from April 2.

Trump spoke on tariff even during PM Modi’s visit

When PM Modi went to Washington to interact with Trump in February, the two countries announced that they would negotiate the first phase of the bilateral trade agreement by the autumn of 2025. Despite this conversation, Trump has raised his voice against India’s tariff structure and said many times that he will put reciperook tariffs.

Trump on Wednesday attacked Breetbart News in an interview, calling India one of the most tariffs. He said, ‘I have very good relations with India, but the only problem with India is that they are one of the most tariffs in the world. I believe that they are probably going to reduce those tariffs to a great extent, but on April 2, we will charge them the same tariff from them.

Trump’s tariff threats have given air to the apprehensions of global trade war. Many countries are thinking counter -measures to deal with this situation. When Jaiswal was asked on the issue whether India is expecting some concessions from America, he said, ‘We will have to wait till the conclusion of the conversation.’

Trade between the two countries will be $ 500 billion in 5 years: Government

Minister of State for Commerce and Industry Jitin Prasad told Parliament on Friday that the Government of India is working to increase bilateral trade relations in a mutually beneficial and fair manner with the US administration. In response to the CPM MP, Jitin Prasad said that apart from negotiations on bilateral trade agreement, the two sides have agreed to deepen economic relations and deepen trade relations in various fields to two -way trade by 2030 to reach more than double $ 500 billion.
