This reaction from the Ministry of External Affairs has come two days after Donald Trump planned to put a recipe crocus on India next month. This step of America can affect Indian exports. Mea spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said that both countries are talking and it is expected that soon there will be some kind of understanding between the two.
What did Mea say about the American tariff?
Jaiswal told in media briefing that India is talking to the US administration to finalize the beneficial multi -regional trade agreement for both countries. However, he did not directly answer the question whether India expects a discount in the reciperook tariff to be implemented from April 2.

When PM Modi went to Washington to interact with Trump in February, the two countries announced that they would negotiate the first phase of the bilateral trade agreement by the autumn of 2025.
