FOBS missiles are extremely faster than intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBM) and are launched from the lower orbit of space. That is, no country can track or intercept them in time. The FOBS technology was first developed by the Soviet Union, but China has made it even more destroyed with state -of -the -art technology like Hypersonic Glide Vehicle (HGV).

The FOBS missile has hypersonic speed -powered weapons, which can target any part of the earth. China also tested this technology with a long March 2C rocket in 2021, which stirred up globally. Why should both America and India be cautious?
According to the chart issued by the Pentagon of America, China can have 60 fobs missiles by 2035. There will be 700 nuclear ICBMS, missiles launched from 132 submarines and 4000 hypersonic glide vehicles. After China, Russia is also moving towards developing this technology. The biggest challenge of fobs is that it can attack from any direction. The US radar system mainly focuses on the North Pole, while the fobs can come from the Southern Hemisphere, making it completely unpredictable.

Seeing this increasing threat of China and Russia, former US President Donald Trump has approved the Golden Dome missile Defense Shield. This will be the world’s most advanced air defense system so far. The project is expected to cost more than $ 25 billion in the initial phase and more than $ 100 billion in total. It includes several American defense companies including Allen Musk’s company Spacex.
