The Bill has specifically said to ban the Pakistani Army and the government for the oppression of former Prime Minister Imran Khan and action taken against his party.

According to the Bill, if Pakistan does not improve the condition of human rights within 180 days, then restrictions can be imposed. In addition, it has also been recommended to implement the US law ‘Global Magnitsky Human Rights Accountability Act’, which refuses the accused of human rights violation to enter the US.
Pakistan’s strong opposition
Pakistan’s Foreign Office spokesman Shafkat Ali Khan criticized the bill in a weekly press conference on Thursday (March 27). He called it a “personal opinion” and said that America-Pakistan relations should not be affected by such actions. He said that relations between Pakistan and America are multilateral and this bill does not represent those relations correctly.
Resentment on US sanctions also
Pakistan also criticized the recent US sanctions imposed on its commercial institutions. Pakistan called it a unilateral decision “without evidence and proof”. The spokesperson said that Pakistan also considers these sanctions imposed on its commercial institutions inappropriate and has demanded counseling on the issue from the US.
Bill status in future
This bill is necessary to be passed in the US House of Representatives and Senate, after which it can be made a law with the approval of the President. Experts believe that even though this bill does not be made law, it definitely puts pressure on the government and army of Pakistan. Through this bill, the Pakistani military establishment has demanded a ban on action against Imran Khan and his party.
