American Donald Trump is in trouble, ruckus over ‘Trump Wine’ in military canteen, know what is the whole matter

A new controversy has started in America regarding Donald Trump. According to a Forbes report, Trump branded wine is now being sold in American military stores. The controversy began when Forbes magazine reported that Trump-labeled wines and ciders appeared on the shelves of duty free stores for military personnel in Washington, DC, Centreville and Virginia ahead of the holiday season.

US administration officials have also confirmed the sale, but said it did not violate any laws. Trump’s representatives insisted that these products, like many other Trump-branded products, were part of a licensing arrangement and that the president had nothing to do with them.

CREW spokesperson targeted
On the other hand, watchdog groups condemned the liquor sales as blatant monetization of federal facilities, even though no direct legal violations could be proven. “This is one of those cases where maybe there isn’t a legal issue, but there is an ethical issue,” said Jordan Leibowitz, a spokesman for Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics (CREW) in Washington. He further said that if the government buys these products in bulk, it could be a violation of the remuneration clause of the Constitution, which deprives presidents of any additional benefits other than salary.

Reason for derailment of US-India relations
However, this incident matches a broader pattern of alleged self-enrichment by the Trump family, which also includes entry into crypto ventures. Regarding this, critics say that it has derailed US-India relations. In early 2025, World Liberty Financial (WLF), a financial platform majority-owned by the Trump family. (with Donald Trump serving as “chief crypto advocate” and his sons Eric and Donald Jr. in leadership roles, who reportedly own a 60 percent stake) have signed a high-profile letter of intent with Pakistan’s newly formed Cryptocurrency Council (PCC).

Wires related to Pahalgam terrorist attack
Regarding this partnership, some observers say that it may have encouraged the Pakistani Deep State to carry out the Pahalgam terrorist attack on April 26. The deal was led by WLF co-founder Zachary Witkoff, the son of Trump’s longtime aide and diplomatic troubleshooter Steve Witkoff.

Regarding this partnership, former US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan believes that perhaps this is the reason why Trump was soft with Pakistan and gave it more preference than India. In a September 2025 MedaTouch podcast, Sullivan said that Trump sidelined relations with India because of trade proposals with Pakistan. Due to which the decades-old coordination between America and India on the issues of countering China was damaged.
