There was a stir on Thursday in Pithipur village of Kotwali police station area in Amethi, Uttar Pradesh, when PRD jawan Babu Ram Kori died under suspicious circumstances in a house here. The incident came to light when the neighbors noticed the foul smell coming from the house. When they looked inside, they saw that dogs were scratching the dead body. Information was immediately given to the police. But the family refused to conduct post-mortem.
Baburam lived alone at home, his parents had passed away. Whereas the sisters were married and they themselves were unmarried. According to the police, the family has not made any complaint regarding the murder, hence the body has been handed over and the last rites have been performed.
What is the whole matter?
Babu Ram lived alone in a ruined mud house in the village. His parents have already passed away, while he has two sisters who are married and live outside. According to the villagers, on Monday, Babu Ram was seen going into the house in an inebriated state. After this, he was not seen by anyone on Tuesday and Wednesday. No one paid any attention because he was often alone.
On Thursday, when unbearable smell started coming from the house, the neighbors peeped inside the house. When the neighbors saw the inside, they were stunned. Babu Ram’s body was lying on the ground. While the dog was scratching his face. Seeing this scene, both fear and anger were seen among the villagers.
Police arrived on information, started investigation
The villagers immediately informed about this incident by dialing 112. As soon as the information was received, the police reached the spot and started investigation. Dial 112 police informed the in-charge of the local Kotwali Amethi about this incident. The local Kotwali police reached the spot, took possession of the body, conducted Panchnama and contacted the family members.
Family members refused post mortem
The police contacted the deceased’s sister Mahuain over phone, after which the relatives reached the spot. However, the family refused to conduct post-mortem of the body. In such a situation, the actual cause of death could not be confirmed.
Kotwali Amethi in-charge inspector Ravi Kumar Singh said that no allegation has been made by the family members. After completing all the necessary legal formalities the body was handed over to the relatives. The last rites of the deceased were performed on Thursday evening itself.
