He further said that it is the birthright of a Hindu child to take bath in the Ganga from birth, but they have deprived us of the Sangam bath itself. These people have raised such a big constitutional question.

What did Akhilesh Yadav say on the phone?

Akhilesh Yadav first came to know about the condition of Swami Avimukteshwarananda. After that he said that these people should not have behaved with you. Akhilesh further said that there are very bad people.

He further told Swami that you know that these people broke the temple in Varanasi and they are saying that nothing was broken. On this Swami said that these people have broken everything. Till now they have demolished 150 of our temples and are still continuing to demolish them. Akhilesh Yadav further said that we are with you and will come and meet you.

What is the whole matter?

Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwaranand claimed on Sunday (January 18) that during the Prayagraj Magh Mela on the occasion of Mauni Amavasya, the state administration stopped him from going towards Sangam Nose. He alleged that policemen stopped him midway while going to Sangam Ghat.

The situation became such that I and my followers were forced to return to our Akhara without taking the holy bath. According to Shankaracharya, his palanquin was stopped midway as senior police officers allegedly pushed his disciples and also misbehaved with them.
