The Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process of voter list is increasing rapidly in 12 states of the country including Uttar Pradesh. Meanwhile, SP national president Akhilesh Yadav’s uncle Ram Gopal Yadav has made a big claim regarding the Election Commission website. He has said that the ECI website may be closed.

Samajwadi Party (SP) leader Ram Gopal Yadav said, “There is a possibility that the Election Commission’s website will be closed after midnight on November 30, so all the forms should be submitted before the evening of November 30, otherwise all the people will be shown absent and their vote will not be cast.”

‘Why is BJP in a hurry regarding SIR?’

Earlier, SP chief Akhilesh Yadav cornered the BJP government regarding SIR. He alleged that both the Election Commission and BJP are in collusion. The right to vote is being taken away in the name of SIR. The BLO was put under pressure to act quickly, due to which he committed suicide. SP President also raised questions that why is BJP in a hurry regarding SIR?

Akhilesh Yadav also said that government data shows that all the forms have been distributed, but at the ground level those forms have not been distributed yet. He expressed apprehension that again the record of collection would be made in the same manner. He said that this is a well thought out conspiracy.

What did the Election Commission say in the daily bulletin?

It is noteworthy that the Election Commission of India, while issuing its daily bulletin on Saturday (November 29), said that 99.53 percent of the counting forms (EF) have already been distributed in 12 states and union territories. Uttar Pradesh, the largest state in terms of voter numbers, has achieved 99.74 percent EF distribution covering more than 15.40 crore voters.
