Meanwhile, Rashtriya Janata Dal leader and Leader of Opposition in the Assembly Tejashwi Yadav has given a big statement regarding the nomination of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for Rajya Sabha. Tejashwi Yadav expressed sympathy towards Nitish Kumar and said that now Janata Dal United has no future.
On the question of Nitish Kumar filing nomination for the Rajya Sabha elections, Tejashwi Yadav said, “We have expressed our sympathy towards Nitish Kumar. Not only since the elections, but the day he left the Grand Alliance and went back with the Bharatiya Janata Party, we had said that now Janata Dal United has no future.”

Six candidates are standing on five Rajya Sabha seats of Bihar. NDA has gathered support from five and RJD from the opposition in favor of its only candidate. BJP has claimed to win all five seats. From the NDA side, BJP national president Nitin Naveen, JDU leader Ramnath Thakur, Upendra Kushwaha and Shivesh Kumar are in the fray. Whereas RJD has made Amarendra Dhari Singh its candidate.
