Big B did free work for Mohanlal
In one of his blog posts, Amitabh Bachchan praised Mohanlal fiercely. Along with this, he had mentioned that he did not charge any fees for Mohanlal’s film. In 2010, the Malayalam film ‘Kandahar’ was released. Amitabh Bachchan’s extended cameo role was seen in this film. Referring to this story in his blog, Big B told that Mohanlal’s director Major Ravi had come to his house.
Amitabh Bachchan told that, ‘Both of them had come to my house to signing me officially and shooting dates and dissecting the payment. But how can I charge the fees for only 3 days guest appearance. That too for my biggest admissions Mohanlal’s film. I never do this’.
Taking forward his point, the actor said that he politely turned down the film’s fee offer. After this, he gave Mohanlal and filmmaker Major Ravi to drink tea and leave. 
How was the condition of Kandahar at the box office?
This Malayalam film on 1999 Kandahar Hijac was released in 2010. In the film, Amitabh Bachchan played the role of the father of an army officer. His son gets martyred while fighting with a hijacker in the film.
Along with this, Ganesh Venkataraman and Ragini Dwivedi were also seen in an important role in ‘Kandahar’. But when this release was not able to show anything special at the box office.
