Sunetra Pawar took oath as the first woman Deputy CM in Maharashtra on Friday. After his oath, MNS chief Raj Thackeray’s statement came out, regarding which NCP (Ajit Pawar) leader Amol Mitkari said that we have not asked him for advice. It would be better if he gives his advice to his own party.
Raj Thackeray wrote in his ex-post that I do not feel like commenting on the way Maharashtra politics has been going on for the last few years. But still, I have to talk about what’s happening throughout the day. A party which is truly Marathi-based and is the Nationalist Congress Party, its President should be a Marathi, should be a Patil, but not a Patel.
Amol Mitkari replied to Thackeray
NCP (Ajit Pawar) leader in Mumbai, Amol Mitkari, while talking to IANS, said that Raj Thackeray should not have made such comments at this time. He also runs a political party. If such an unfortunate situation had happened in his party and we had made similar comments, people would have said that we lack humanity. It is our job to decide what is happening inside our party. Our party has people from all communities – Brahmins, Gujaratis, Marwaris, Marathas, members of different social groups, Muslims, people of all castes and tribes. Everyone was of the opinion that Sunetra Pawar should be made the Deputy Chief Minister and she should be appointed group leader. He said that Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said that the department which was with our party will remain.
The feelings of the workers were seen
Amol Mitkari said that Sunetra Pawar has had a political background in the house since childhood. She is not someone who has come in a new or strange way. This is not a matter of chair, but of the feelings of the workers of Maharashtra Nationalist Congress Party. All the party workers felt that if anyone is capable, active and ready to replace Ajit Pawar, then it is only Sunetra Pawar.
He said that no one takes Sanjay Shirsat seriously. His own party leader, Eknath Shinde, knows his status. We have been able to give a befitting reply, but we are still coming out of the shock.
