Punjab News: Detection may increase by one year under NSA of Lok Sabha MP Amritpal Singh from Khadur Sahib seat in Punjab. If sources are to be believed, Bhagwant Maan Sarkar of Punjab has taken this decision. On April 22, Amritpal will complete 2 years in Dibrugarh Jail in Assam. His 9 of his jailed colleagues under NSA along with Amritpal have been brought back to Punjab but Amritpal will be kept in Assam right now.
Amritpal Singh (32), MP from Khadur Sahib, is currently lodged in Dibrugarh jail in Assam. He was detained under the National Security Act (NSA) after his arrest on 23 April 2023. Earlier, the state government did not extend the detention period of Singh’s colleagues.
Amritpal’s colleagues were brought to Punjab
These nine colleagues arrested in connection with the 2023 Ajnala police station attack were brought back to Punjab after their detention ended under the NSA. These people were identified by Basant Singh, Bhagwant Singh alias Prime Minister Bajeke, Gurmeet Singh Gill alias Gurmeet Bukkanwala, Sarabjit Singh Kalsi alias Daljit Singh Kalsi, Gurinderpal Singh Aujla alias Guri Aujla, Harjit Singh alias Chacha Kulwant Singh, Dhaliwal alias Kulwant Singh, Varinder Johal and Pappalprit Singh.
Amritpal Singh won in 2024 Lok Sabha elections
Amritpal Singh, head of ‘Waris Punjab De’ organization, contested and won the 2024 Lok Sabha election from Khadur Sahib in Tarn Taran district and won. Amritpal, who was present in the name of Khalistani terrorist Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale, was arrested on 23 April 2023 from Rode village in Moga district after searching for more than a month. On March 18, 2023, the vehicle and its disguise, he escaped from the police custody in Jalandhar district. The Punjab Police started action after the incident of Ajnala on 23 February 2023.
