Amritsar: Golden Temple frequent bomb threatens, CM Bhagwant Mann’s appeal to public

The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee is receiving the threat of bombing the Golden Temple repeatedly. After receiving such threatening e-mail, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has appealed to the people to beware of rumors. He said that his government will not allow any kind of agreement with security.

CM Bhagwant Mann held a meeting with senior police officers including Director General of Police (DGP) Gaurav Yadav in view of the threatening email received by Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC).

‘Will fully deal with anti -national forces’
After this meeting, by posting a post on X, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann wrote, “We will not allow any compromise on the security of Punjab. Our security agencies and Punjab Police are fully alert. I appeal to the people of Punjab not to pay attention to rumors and take precautions. All religious places are holy and venerable to us. We will be fully committed to their safety. We will be fully committed to their safety. We will be fully committed to their protests.

Five e-mails have come in 3 days
SGPC chief Harjinder Singh Dhami said on Wednesday (17 July) that the Gurdwara institution has received 5 emails threatening to blow up the Golden Temple since 14 July. The email sender has not been identified yet. Now the question arises whether these threats were mischief done with some malicious intentions or pointed to a big conspiracy?

People’s concern has increased- Pratap Singh Bajwa
Punjab Leader of Opposition Pratap Singh Bajwa said on Thursday (July 17) that the five threatened emails sent to the Golden Temple have created deep concern among the Sikh community and all the peace -loving people of Punjab. The Congress leader said that the disturbing nature of these threats has increased the concern of the people.

Describing these threats as a cowardly efforts to disturb the hard -achieved peace of Punjab, Pratap Singh Bajwa demanded that the Center and State agencies take immediate action to identify the culprits and bring them to the dock of justice. Punjab has always been a land of common heritage and harmony. From the teachings of Sikh Gurus to the speech of Sufi saints, from temples and gurdwaras to mosques and churches, this earth has always communicated unity.
