Bikram singh majithia house raid: Vigilance Bureau team raided the residence of Shiromani Akali Dal senior leader Bikram Singh Majithia in Amritsar on Wednesday morning. The Vigilance team reached Majithia’s house under the leadership of the SSP, where there was a fierce debate between the officials and the Majithia. Majithia questioned the officials about the raids. In response to which the officials said that this action is being taken in connection with an investigation.
Majithia immediately responded to this action of Vigilance and targeted the state government. He issued a statement on social media saying that Bhagwant Maan Sarkar of Punjab is trying to implicate him in false matters.
Not afraid, no voice can be suppressed- Majithia
Majithia wrote on X, ‘I had already said that when the government did not find anything against me in the drug case, now a new false case is being coined. Today, a raid has been put at my house under the leadership of Vigilance SSP. Bhagwant Maan ji, no matter how many prescriptions you get, I am not afraid, nor can your government suppress my voice.
He further said that he has always spoken on the issues of Punjab and will continue to do further. He also said that he has full faith in Akal Purakh and Guru Sahib and in the end the truth will win.
So far no official statement has been revealed by the government on the action of the Vigilance Bureau, but the opposition has described this raid as political vengeance. The Akali Dal says that the government is trying to suppress the leaders of his party.
Have faced action before
Significantly, Bikram Singh Majithia has already faced legal action in cases related to drugs, but he has been getting relief from the court. Now the state’s politics has become hot again due to the raid of Vigilance.
