Reliance Industries Limited: The Board of Directors of Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) have appointed Anant Ambani as the full-class director of the company. Reliance reported to the stock exchange said that the board has given approval to the appointment of Mukesh Ambani’s younger son Anant Ambani for five years from May 1, 2025 on the recommendation of Human Recruitment, Nomination and Remusion Committee, which is now subject to the approval of shareholders.
Anant associated with many companies of Reliance Group
Anant is currently the company’s non-executive director. Now he will be a part of Reliance’s executive leadership. Anant is connected to the board of many companies of Reliance Group. These include Jio platforms from March 2020, Reliance Retail Ventures from May 2022 and Reliance New Energy and Reliance New Solar Energy from June 2021. Since September 2022, he is also a board member of Reliance Foundation.
Isha and Akash are handling this responsibility
In August 2023, the board had approved Anant as well as Isha and Akash Ambani to appoint the company as non-executive directors and the shareholders approved their appointment in October 2023.
While Akash Ambani is the chairman of Reliance Jio Infocomm since 2022, Isha Ambani is handling Reliance Retail Ventures Limited as Executive Director. Akash is the first of his two siblings, who have got the role of Executive Director in Reliance Industry. Anant has studied graduation from Brown University in America.
Anant also active in animal welfare
Anant also loves animals. He is actively involved in animal welfare work. He is also the founder of the largest animal rehabilitation and conservation center Vanatara in the world. They are in Jamnagar, Gujarat. It is home to more than 1.5 lakh saved animals of more than 2,000 species, where they live comfortably.
