Android 16 Update Released Date and Time Check Compatible Devices List and How to Download

Google is releasing a stable version of Android 16 on 10 June 2025 today, as the company had already indicated on Twitter. This update includes the new Material 3 Expressive design, which has visual changes such as high-feedback animation, dynamic color theme, updated typography and background blur. Quick settings have been redesigned to resice Settings and to access media controls better. Also, the Live Updates feature has come, which shows real-time notifications such as food delivery or ride-sharing information on the lock screen and notification panel.

Android 16 will first roll out in Google Pixel models, including Pixel 6 Series, 7, 7A, 8, 8A, 8 Pro, 9. Google’s UnderThere are also security reforms in the update, such as Advanced Protection Mode, Battery Health Metrics, Enhanced Factory Reset Protection and Intrusion Logging, which are designed to help maintain the priceways of the user. Currently update is available in limited time zones and models, but soon other OEMS is expected to be available in smartphones, which may include Samsung One UI 8 and others.

How to get Android 16? (only pixel devices)

Go to Settings and open the system update page inside the system
If Android 16 is available in your phone, then the option of “Download and Install” will be seen
Download and install updates. Ensure the battery charge is 50% or more and the device is connected to stable Wi-Fi
After the completion of the installation, the phone will be restarted and you can explore features like the new Material 3 Expressive UI, Live Updates and Advanced Protection Mode.

Note: If your device is currently on Android 16 QPR BETA channel, you have to go out of the beta program before switching to the stable channel. Note that all data in this process can be deleted.

Android 16 will first be found in Pixel devices, after which it will gradually be released for other OEMs. The company has already confirmed some smartphone models, which are given below.

Google pixel: Pixel 6 Series, 7 Series, 8, 8A, 9, 9A and Pixel 10 models. Apart from this, the foldable device also has Pixel fold and tablet is also the number of Pixel Tablet.

Samsung: Galaxy s22 To Galaxy s25 Series, from A24 to A73, from M33 to M55, from F34 to F55 and in foldables from Z Fold 4 Fold 6 And Z Flip 4 to Flip 6.

Nothing: Phone 1, 2, 2A, 3A and Pro models

OnePlus: OnePlus 10 to 10 Series, Nord CE and Lite Models and Nord 4 devices.

Xiaomi: Xiaomi 13 From 15 series, Note 14/13, Redmi K70, Redmi 12 5G and Redmi 13 5G
