Anil Ambani’s company Reliance Power will create the largest solar project in this country, India will also benefit greatly

Anil Ambani: The country’s veteran businessman Anil Ambani’s company Reliance Power has entered into an agreement with Bhutan company Green Digital Private Limited. Under this, it has been decided to build the largest solar plant in Bhutan. This solar project will produce 500 MW electricity.

About 2000 crore rupees are to be spent on this entire project. The project is a 50-50 percent partnership between Reliance Power and the Investment Company of the Government of Bhutan, Druk Holding and Investments (DHI). This is the biggest advantage of this project

According to this agreement, it is going to be Bhutan’s largest solar power project. With this, it will be the biggest foreign direct investment (FDI) of a private sector till date in the solar industry of Bhutan. For this project, Reliance Power has also signed a long -term power purchase agreement (PPA) with Green Digital Private Limited. Under this, the electricity produced from & nbsp; project will be sold to Green Digital. That is, through this solar project, not only will Bhutan get clear energy, but it will also be able to provide electricity to its neighboring countries including India. & Nbsp;

Company moving rapidly in clean energy segment & nbsp;

Reliance Power said that this solar project will further strengthen India-Bhutan economic cooperation. The company said that Reliance Group is insisting on furthering its segment of clean energy. Currently, Reliance Power has a 2.5 GW capacity in solar energy and battery energy storage system (BESS). To create this power project, the company has started talking with banks and other lenders at present to arrange for money on time. & Nbsp;

Partnership took place last year

This solar project is part of the partnership between Reliance Enterprises (Reliance Power and Reliance Infrastructure partnership) and DHI in October 2024, part of the partnership between solar and hydroelectric projects. It includes this 500 MW solar project as well as the 770 MW Chamkhau-1 hydroelectric project. & Nbsp;
