A big relief news has come to the fore for lakhs of youth who are dreaming of getting a job in Railways. Railway Recruitment Board i.e. RRB has completed preparations for bumper recruitment on Group D Level-1 posts. Under this recruitment, about 22 thousand posts will be filled across the country. It is believed that this will be one of the biggest railway recruitments in the coming time, in which 10th pass youth are going to get a golden opportunity for government jobs.

Under this recruitment drive, there will be recruitment on posts like Pointsman, Assistant, Track Maintainer Grade-IV in Railways. Apart from this, Group D Level-1 posts will also be filled in engineering, electrical, mechanical and other technical departments. All these posts are related to the operation and maintenance of railways, whose role is considered very important. According to the information received from Railway Recruitment Board, the online application process for Group D Level-1 recruitment will start from January 21. Interested candidates will be able to apply till 20th February.

What is the required qualification?

To apply for this recruitment, the candidate must have passed 10th from a recognized board. Along with this, if the candidate has ITI or NAC certificate, then it can prove beneficial for him in technical departments. Railways has made it clear that the minimum educational qualification has been kept at 10th pass only, so that more and more youth can participate in this recruitment.

What will be the age limit?

For Railway Group D recruitment, the minimum age of the candidate has been fixed at 18 years and maximum age at 33 years. Whereas reserved category candidates will be given age relaxation as per government rules. OBC category candidates will get 3 years relaxation in the maximum age, while SC and ST category candidates will be given 5 years relaxation.

How much salary will you get?

Candidates selected in Group D Level-1 will be given a basic salary of Rs 18,000 in Level-1 as per the 7th Pay Commission. Apart from this, dearness allowance, house rent allowance and other railway allowances will also be available.

How will the selection be done?

First of all, candidates will have to give computer based examination i.e. CBT. After this, successful candidates will be called for Physical Efficiency Test i.e. PET. In this stage the physical ability of the candidate will be tested. The documents of the candidates who pass PET will be scrutinized and finally a medical test will be conducted. Only the candidates successful in all the stages will be finally selected.

How much application fee will have to be paid?

To apply for this recruitment, general and OBC category candidates will have to pay a fee of Rs 500. However, if the candidate appears in the CBT exam, Rs 400 will be refunded to him. Whereas for SC, ST, women and disabled candidates the application fee has been kept at Rs 250.

To apply for Railway Group D Recruitment, candidates have to visit the official website rrbapply.gov.in. Go to the website and click on the option of “New Registration” or “Apply Online”. After this fill your required information. Then upload the required documents. After paying the application fee, submit the form.
