The atmosphere has started heating up before the ICC T20 World Cup 2026 to be held in India. While the BCCI, which is busy preparing for the tournament, seems confident about hosting it, the statements of some foreign players and people associated with the board are unnecessarily creating controversy. The latest case is related to America’s cricket team’s fast bowler Ali Khan, who was born in Pakistan.
Taunt on social media for not getting visa
Ali Khan recently shared a post on social media, which is being seen as a taunt against India. Actually, Ali Khan did not get the Indian visa, after which he posted his picture on Instagram story and wrote, “India Visa Denied, but KFC for the win.” Many people have called this line an attempt to humiliate India. Strong reactions are being seen regarding this post on social media.
Journey from Pakistan to America
35 year old Ali Khan was born in Attock city of Punjab province of Pakistan. After not getting a chance to play for Pakistan, he turned to America and became a part of the national team there. There are already many players in the American team who were born in other countries and later settled there.
Ali Khan’s record in international cricket
If we look at Ali Khan’s international record, he has so far participated in 15 ODI and 18 T20 International matches for America. He has 33 wickets in his name in ODI, while in T20 he has sent 16 batsmen to the pavilion. He was also included in the US team in the 2024 T20 World Cup, where he took big wickets like Rishabh Pant against India and Fakhar Zaman against Pakistan.
T20 league and IPL experience

Apart from this, he has also played in the ILT20 League, where he represented Abu Dhabi Knight Riders and later Gulf Giants. Even in the IPL, he was selected by Kolkata Knight Riders as a replacement player in place of Harry Gurney, although he did not get a place in the playing 11.
