Another Hindu has been shot dead in Bangladesh. This incident took place on Monday afternoon (January 05, 2026) in Monirampur in Jessore district, when fundamentalists publicly shot dead a Hindu youth named Rana Pratap Bairagi. Elections are near in the neighboring country, but the news of atrocities on Hindus is not stopping.
Including the murder of Rana Pratap Bairagi, this is the fifth incident against people of Hindu community in Bangladesh in the last three weeks. According to the information, Rana Pratap Bairagi was suddenly attacked. There is an atmosphere of panic in the area after this incident.
Police started investigation in the case
According to local sources, as soon as the information about the incident was received, the police reached the spot and took possession of Rana Pratap’s body and started investigation. At present, the identity of the attackers and the motive behind the murder is being ascertained.
This incident has once again raised serious questions regarding the security of Hindu minorities in Bangladesh. Due to such incidents continuously coming to light, there is an atmosphere of fear and insecurity in the community.
