Speaking on the tariff, a top official on Friday said that China will now prepare its device for other countries. Speaking about the company’s second quarter, Apple CEO Tim Cook said that all types of iPads, Mac, Apple Watch and Airpods products sold in the US market will be imported from Vietnam.
Team Cook said- During the June quarter, we hope that the more sold iPhones in the American market will be made in India. However, the products that will be made in China will be sold mostly in other countries outside the US.
He said that the tariff of 20 percent will be imposed on Apple’s products, which is imposed on importing China. Apart from this, the announcement made in April will be imposed on certain types of products. In such a situation, on importing from China, some Apple items will have to pay at least 145 percent tariff.
Apple CEO further said that the current global tariffs and policies are not going to affect the earnings of companies. In the June quarter, they estimate the company’s profits by 5 percent, which will increase to $ 95.35 billion. A year ago, during this time, the company’s profit was $ 90.75 billion.
It is worth noting that on April 2, a huge tariff was announced by US President Donald Trump on countries around the world. However, after this he announced to apply a brake on that tariff for 90 days, but increased the rates of tariffs over China. Since then, the trade war has been sparked between the world’s two economic superpower. However, Trump has tried to reduce stress by indicating talks with China.
