Apple Siri: Apple is preparing to introduce its voice assistant Siri in a completely new form. According to reports, the company wants to convert Siri into an advanced AI chatbot so that it can give direct competition to companies like OpenAI, Google, Anthropic and xAI in the race of generative AI. This change will not be limited to just the interface, but there will be a big improvement in Siri’s working ability as well. It is believed that this new AI version of Siri will be made available to users in the second half of 2026.
Siri’s AI overhaul is happening under ‘Campos’ project
According to a report by Bloomberg, Apple is currently working on an internal project named ‘Campos’. The aim of this project is to convert Siri into a full-fledged AI chatbot. The report claims that this new Siri will be integrated into all Apple devices like iPhone, iPad and Mac through their operating systems. This means that users can expect to get the same smart and connected AI experience on every device.
What new changes will be seen in Siri?
Siri could be faster and smarter than ever after an AI upgrade. According to reports, Siri will now use AI-based reference to answer questions, which will provide more accurate and quick answers. Apart from this, Siri will also be able to understand the content visible on the screen in a better way, that is, it will be able to give correct information based on what the user is seeing.
The new Siri will work more deeply with reminders, planning, messages, photos and voice commands. By looking at the user’s activity, Siri will also be able to automatically suggest for which task it would be appropriate to set a reminder.
Siri will remember conversations, answers will be more intelligent
After becoming an AI chatbot, a major feature of Siri will be that it will be able to remember past conversations and questions. This will make it easier for Siri to understand the full context when asking follow-up questions and give more accurate and context-based answers. This feature will take Siri much closer to human conversation than a common voice assistant.
Old features will remain intact
Apple is not going to remove Siri’s old features with its new AI avatar. Siri will continue to make calls, send messages, set alarms and perform other daily tasks as before. Controls and commands will also remain almost the same so that users do not face any problem in learning the new system.
Siri has already been a big part of Apple devices and this new change could completely change the way the user and the device interact.
Big changes can be seen in iOS 27
Apple is expected to introduce iOS 27 at the Worldwide Developer Conference i.e. WWDC to be held in 2026. It is believed that with this update we can get a glimpse of Siri’s AI features. Although complete information has not been revealed yet, it is clear from the leaks and reports that Apple is preparing to make some big and revolutionary changes in its software.
