Watchos 26 is currently available only to developer beta users and its public beta will be released in the coming weeks. The final version will be released for all supported Apple Watch models this year. Macrumors of UnderFive old and popular watch face has been removed from Apple Watch, including Toy Story, Fire and Water, Vapor, Liquid Metal and Gradient. Apple has not given any official reason about why these faces were removed.
It is believed that Apple is making room for new interface elements and features by removing old or low -use design. Watchos 26 adds new visual elements to the company, which seems inspired by the Liquid Glass design of iOS 26. The interface looks more response and smooth than before, but this change may also bring disappointment for some users because many people have been using animated face like Toy Story and Fire & Water for a long time. Esthetic face like Vapor and Liquid Metal also gave a separate touch to the watch.
Watchos 26 was introduced by Apple at WWDC 2025, in which the company announced some visual and functional changes for its smartwatch users. This new update focuses on making the interface more clean and refined, including IOS 26 inspired elements such as fluid animations, more response controls and a new floating UI pattern. The company has now introduced satal redesign in sections like notifications and activity rings.
According to Apple, Watchos 26 will now work with better hiptic feedback and smooth transition, which will make navigation and app interactions more fast and simple than before. The health app also adds new data graphs and better Cycle Tracking Options, while Messages include new Quick Replies and Smart Suggestions. Apple has made Watchos 26 available for Apple Watch Series 6 and subsequent models.
