Mark Gurman of Bloomberg revealed in his recent “Power on” report that this smart glass project of Apple is currently developing with ‘N50’ codenames. Apple’s goal is to become a real example of these glasses “Apple Intelligence”. These traditional agranded reality (AR) will not be like headsets, but scanning the environment around the camera and sensor users in them and will give data to AI in real-time. However, it will not give AR experience completely.
Smart glasses delay
However, this project is far away from getting ready and is not expected to come in the market soon. According to reports, Apple is facing a lot of technical challenges in creating the right balance between light weight, powerful features, better battery life and stylish design. Earlier, there was a report that it may take at least 3 to 5 years for Apple to launch functional ar glasses.
Camera will also be available in airpods
Apart from smart glasses, Apple is also working towards making its airpods more smart. It is being told that infrared cameras looking towards the outer direction will be installed in the new airpods. These cameras will not be traditional cameras but will be based on infrared technology like face ID sensor of iPhone.
The main work of these new airpods will be to collect data of the surrounding environment and send it to the AI system so that the user can get more personal and interactive experiences such as better special audio. Apart from this, with the help of these cameras, users will be able to control music with hand gestures, will be able to pick up calls or enjoy AR Experience.
When will these devices be launched?
According to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the mass production of the camera with the camera can start by 2026 or 2027. That is, for these magnificent gadgets, you will have to wait a few more years. While Apple is slowly developing these products, META has already landed in the market. META launched its smart glasses in 2023 with Ray-Ban. Now the company is preparing to launch its Ray-BAN META smart glasses in India too.
