The manufacturing of iPhone has increased rapidly in the last few years in the country. Apple’s contract manufacturer FoxConn had assembled about 1.2 million iPhones in the country last year. The company’s affordable iPhone 16E launched in February has also started assembling in the country. It will replace the iPhone SE introduced about three years ago. China has a major stake in manufacturing iPhones. The company plans to start manufacturing airpods, macbook and iPad in India.
