Apple’s App Store Gives More Than RS 44,000 Crore in Sales for India-Based Developers, iPhone, MacBook

Last year, the apps of India’s developers have been downloaded more than 75 crore times from the App Store of American devices and technology company Apple. With this, the country’s app developers have got sales of about Rs 44,447 crore. Out of this, about 94 percent of the revenue has been received only by developers and businesses and the commission has not been paid to Apple.

Last year, Apple’s ecosystem in the country has led to transactions of about Rs 44,447 crores in categories like General Retail, Travel, Grocery, Food Delivery and Cab Services. At the app store, developers have acquired about Rs 38,906 crore from billings and goods and services sales, about Rs 3,014 crore from in-app advertising and about Rs 2,527 crore from digital goods and services.

It has been told in this study that 79 percent of the income has been received from the users outside the country. Apps of India’s developers were the 100 most downloaded to the most downloaded. More than 2.2 crore users have visited the company’s app store in the country every week.

In India, the company has also prepared to increase the sales of devices like iPhone. The company’s new stores in the country can be opened in Noida’s DLF Mall of India in Uttar Pradesh and Kopa Mall in Pune. Apart from this, the company plans to open two additional stores. Apple’s current stores are in Delhi and Mumbai. Recently, a media report was quoted by sources who have been aware of the company’s plan as saying that Apple has fixed the location for its third and fourth stores in Noida and Pune. Apart from this, it is looking for location for two stores in Mumbai and Bengaluru. The company’s existing two stores were joint revenue of about Rs 800 crore in the first year of sales. Saket’s store in Delhi was 60 percent.
