Application for recruitment in Delhi Police and CAPF starts, know who and how you can apply

Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has started the online application process for the posts of Delhi Police Sub-Inspector (SI) and Central Armed Police Force (CAPF). Under this recruitment campaign, a total of 3,073 posts will be appointed. Interested candidates can now apply by visiting the official website ssc.gov.in. The last date for application is 16 October 2025, while the last date for submission of application fee has been fixed on 17 October 2025.

The online application has started from 26 September 2025. Candidates will get a chance to improve the form from 24 to 26 October. Computer based examination will be held in November or December 2025.

To apply in SSC CPO recruitment, it is mandatory for the candidate to graduate in any stream. To apply for the post of Delhi Police Sub-Inspector, the candidate must have a valid driving license with a bachelor’s degree. The age of the candidate should be minimum 20 years and maximum 25 years as per 1 August 2025. Candidates of reserved class will get exemption as per the rules of the government.

Description of recruitment posts

In this recruitment, Delhi Police SI has 142 male posts and 70 female posts. There are 2,651 men’s posts available for CAPF Sub-Inspartor (GD).

Application fee

Candidates of General, OBC and EWS class will have to pay an application fee of Rs 100. Applications are free for SC and ST class candidates.

Examination and selection process

SSC CPO recruitment exam will be computer based. In this, the capacity of the general knowledge, mathematics, reconnapping, current affairs and English language will be tested in this. After passing the exam, there will also be Physical Efficiency Tests and Medical Tests. Successful candidates will be appointed on merit basis in all these stages.
