Current Development Commissioner Pratyas Amrit has been given additional charge of Special Working Officer in the office of the Chief Secretary for immediately one month. He has done many important and commendable works. During his IAS training, he also learned tribal language Santhali in Dumka. He is considered one of the very close officials of CM Nitish Kumar.
The current Chief Secretary will replace Amritlal Meena, who is retiring on 31 August. Meena has not received service extension. Notification has been issued by the General Administration Department in this regard. Assembly elections are to be held in Bihar this year. In such a situation, the suffix nectar will have a very important responsibility. The suffix Amrit will retire from the post of Chief Secretary on 31 July 2027. In such a situation, they will have a long time to work as the Chief Secretary for Bihar.
