Javed said during the press conference, “Whether Babur or any other player, the game is open to all. If Babur or someone performs well, he will get his place. Anyone can move forward thanks to his performance.”
He added, “The players are aware of which format they are best. There are many challenges and they should be ready to face them.”
Babur-Rizwan was ignored in the last two series
Babur and Rizwan last played T20 matches against South Africa in December 2024. Since then, both the players have not got a place in the team. After South Africa, Pakistan team went to play a 5 -match T20 series on New Zealand tour. Babur-Rijwan was dropped for the first time on this tour. After this, he did not get a chance to play in the home series against Bangladesh.
Babur is the second highest run -scorer in T20 International
Babur is not able to make a place in the T20 International team today. But he is the second highest run -scorer in the history of T20 International. Babur has scored 4223 runs in 128 matches. There is Rohit Sharma at number one. He has scored 4231 runs. If Babur will score 9 more runs, then he will become the highest run -scorer in T20 International. At the same time, Rizwan has scored 3414 runs in T20 International.
