In which states banks will remain closed today

According to the holiday list of the Reserve Bank of India, there is a bank holiday in Gujarat, Sikkim, Manipur, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal and Himachal Pradesh on the festivals of Bhai Dooj, Chitragupta Jayanti, Bhratri Dwitiya. If you live in these states, you should avoid going to the bank. However, online and digital services of the bank will remain operational. Apart from these, banks are open all over the country and their functioning will continue as normal.

List of upcoming holidays

According to RBI, banks will remain closed for several days in the last week of October. Banks will remain closed on October 25 as it is the fourth Saturday, while October 26 will be a weekly holiday on Sunday. Bank branches in Patna, Ranchi and Kolkata will remain closed on 27th October on the occasion of Chhath Puja. Banks will not open in Bihar and Jharkhand on October 28 due to the festival of Chhath. Banks will remain closed in Gujarat on October 31 (Friday) on the occasion of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Jayanti. In other states, banking services will operate normally on this day.
