Just as humans fall ill, then they go to the doctor, similarly when animals and birds are ill, special doctors are needed for their care and treatment. We call them vet or Veterinary Doctors. If you have an attachment to animals and you want to serve them, then becoming a Veterinary doctor can be a great career for you. There are also opportunities to earn good money in this field.
To become a veterinarian, first you have to study Veterinary Science. Earlier, there used to be All India Pre Veterinary Test (AIPVT) for admission in this field, but now the marks of NEET UG exam are seen for admission in the course of Veterinary Science. Of the Veterinary Courses available all over India, 15 percent of the seats are filled through NEET exam.
The most popular course to enroll in Veterinary Science is Bachelor of Animal Science and Husbandry, which is about five and a half years old. This course also includes a year of internship, which also gives students practical experience. Veterinary course qualification
For admission to this course, it is necessary that you pass with 12th class Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects. Your total marks should be at least 50 percent.

Animal doctor’s earnings
According to media reports, a Veterinary Doctor in India earns Rs 50,000 to 60,000 every month. But this earning depends on your experience, expertise and field of work. If you become a specialist doctor of pets like dogs, horses or cats, then your income can also reach 10 to 12 lakh rupees annually.
