Mamata on sc teachers recruitment verdict: Mamta Banerjee has responded to the Supreme Court’s decision on the Teacher Recruitment Scam of West Bengal on Monday (7 April 2025). The Supreme Court had canceled the appointments of 25,753 teachers and employees of the state in this case. Along with this, the Supreme Court had also asked those candidates to return their salary, whose appointment was considered as fraud.
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has strongly criticized this order of the Supreme Court on the matter of teacher recruitment. The CM said, ‘As long as I am alive, no qualified teacher will lose his job.’ He gave this statement in favor of those teachers, whose appointment has been canceled due to allegations of corruption. Mamta Banerjee says that she is fully standing with this issue and is committed to save the job of qualified teachers under any circumstances.
I can be sent to jail, yet I will speak
Expressing concern over this subject, Mamta Banerjee said, ‘My heart is very sad due to this decision of the Supreme Court. I know that if I speak on this, I can also be jailed, but I will still speak. If someone challenges me, I know to answer it. He also clarified that it is his determination that they will get their rights to qualified teachers and will not allow anyone to snatch their jobs.
People are afraid of the talent of Bengal?
Mamta raised the question that the Supreme Court should clarify who is worthy and who is not. He said, ‘Give us a list. No one has the right to break the education system. Giving an example, Mamta said that there were many allegations in the NEET exam too, but the Supreme Court did not cancel it. He also asked, ‘Why is Bengal being targeted? Are people afraid of the talent of Bengal? ‘
This statement of Mamta Banerjee is a strong message for the teachers of the state. The Chief Minister, while expressing his commitment, said that he is fully prepared to improve the education sector and will protect the rights of qualified teachers under any circumstances. He has appealed to unite for the rights of the teachers of the state and made it clear that their struggle is not only of one state, but to protect the entire education system.
