Asaram interim bail: Asaram, convicted of rape, has once again got a big relief from the Rajasthan High Court. The court accepted Asaram’s application and increased his interim bail till June 30. Asaram cited health reasons in his petition. The court has accepted his petition.
Advocate Yashpal Singh Rajpurohit said that in the Rajasthan High Court today we appealed to increase the interim bail given to Asaram Bapu. The court listened to the case and accepted our application. Earlier, we had filed a similar application in the Gujarat High Court, which was accepted for three months of expansion. After hearing the arguments of both the parties, the court has approved to extend the interim bail period.

What is the whole matter?
It is noteworthy that in August 2013, a 16 -year -old girl accused Asaram of sexually assaulting her in her ashram near Jodhpur, Rajasthan. The victim’s parents lodged a complaint, due to which Asaram was arrested on August 31, 2013. Subsequently, in April 2018, a Jodhpur court convicted Asaram of rape from a minor and sentenced him to life imprisonment under various sections of the Indian Penal Code, Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses and various sections of the Juvenile Justice Act.
In October 2013, further allegations were reported when a former disciple and a woman from Surat accused Asaram of repeated sexual harassment between 2001 and 2006 at her ashram in Ahmedabad.
This was followed by another legal case, which ended in January 2023 when a court in Gandhinagar convicted Asaram for rape, which was his second sentence on such allegations. Apart from these punishment, Asaram’s son Narayan Sai also made similar allegations.
In 2013, two sisters of Surat alleged that Asaram and Narayan had sexually assaulted them in the mid -2000s. The elder sister accused Asaram, while the younger sister accused Narayan of attack in Surat Ashram between 2002 and 2005.
