Dr. Ashok Chaudhary, Minister of Rural Affairs Minister of Bihar Government and National General Secretary of JDU, has sent a defamation notice of Rs 100 crore to Prashant Kishore, the founder of Jan Suraj on Tuesday. In fact, Prashant Kishore accused the minister of 200 crore scam and land fraud. Now the court has issued summons to Kishore to appear on 17 October.
Ashok Chaudhary said the allegation baseless and misleading
Ashok Chaudhary has described the allegations of Prashant Kishore as baseless and misleading. He denied allegations of benami property against his daughter and MP Shambhavi Chaudhary. Ashok Chaudhary clarified that the property that is being accused of being benami was bought by Shambhavi Chaudhary on 21 February 2021 from his legitimate income and it was also mentioned in his election affidavit. Therefore, there is no question of benami.
Prashant Kishore alleges that Ashok Chaudhary is the right hand of the Chief Minister and he has made a record of corruption in Bihar. He bought 23 katha land in the name of his personal secretary Yogendra Dutt in the year 2019. Two years later, Yogendra Dutt transferred the land to Ashok Chaudhary’s daughter Shambhavi Chaudhary for Rs 34 lakh, but he was given only Rs 10 lakh from the account. Later on the income tax notice, he transferred Rs 25 lakh to Yogendra Dutt to avoid income tax notice on 27 April 2025?
Three other big leaders of NDA also accused
Prashant has accused Ashok Chaudhary not only against three other big leaders of NDA, including Mangal Pandey, Sanjay Jaiswal and Deputy CM Samrat Chaudhary. Earlier, Mangal Pandey had said, “Whatever Prashant Kishore is saying is completely political rhetoric. There is neither any basis nor any fact. Now it remains to be seen what action they take against PK after Ashok Chaudhary.
