Asia Cup 2025: Bangladesh has 11 years old accounts from Hong Kong, winning 7 wickets

Bangladesh registered their first T20 international win by defeating Hong Kong by seven wickets in the Group B match of the Asia Cup thanks to the brilliant half -century innings of captain Litton Das (59 off 39 balls). The match was played at Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium on Thursday.

Chasing a target of 144 runs, Bangladesh won with 14 balls remaining. The 95 -run partnership for the third wicket between Litton and Tauheed Hridayy (35) laid the foundation of the team’s victory. Litton’s restrained innings and a strategy of raising runs at the right time kept Bangladesh in a strong position. Earlier, the disciplined performance of the bowlers limited Hong Kong to 143/7.

Bangladesh started with some attractive shots of Parvez Hussain Imon, but he was caught out by Ayush Shukla. Tanjid Hasan also could not last long. However, Hong Kong’s 11 additional run mistake brought Bangladesh to 51/2 in power-play.

After this, Litton and Hridayay maintained the run pace by rotating the strike. Litton, showing a boom in the 14th over, hit fours and sixes continuously and completed his half-century in 33 balls. He showed an aggressive game against Ishaan Khan and Yasim Murtaza. However, Atik Iqbal bowled him for 59 runs, but by then Bangladesh had reached very close to the victory.

Hong Kong 143/7 (Nizakat Khan 42, Zishan Ali 30; Tanjim Hasan Saqib 2/21, Rishad Hussain 2/31)

Bangladesh 144/3, 17.4 overs (Litton Das 59, Tauheed Hridayya 35; Atik Iqbal 1/13, Ayush Shukla 1/32)
