The Indian cricket team has been announced for the Asia Cup. Chief Selector Ajit Agarkar and T20 captain Suryakumar Yadav announced the names of 15 players who will go to UAE to play Asia Cup. But these 3 big cricketers, including Shreyas Iyer, could not make a place in this squad, whose performance was good.
Chief Selector Ajit Agarkar took the name of Shreyas Iyer in the press conference and said that if he was not elected in the team, then there is no mistake nor our mistake in it. That is, Agarkar wanted to say that Shreyas’s team is not being made a place. By the way, fans are surprised by not just Shreyas but these 3 players are not in the squad.
Shreyas Iyer
Shreyas Iyer was believed to be selected in the squad for the Asia Cup. His performance in the IPL and the Champions Trophy was also good. But he was not elected in the team. This surprised all the fans. Talking about his T20 international performance, he has scored 1104 runs in 51 matches, including 8 half -century innings.
Yashasvi Jaiswal
The second big name to not be included in the squad is that of Yashasvi Jaiswal. Jaiswal is known as an explosive batsman, although the selectors did not choose him in the team. Jaiswal has scored 723 runs in 23 T20 international matches for India at a strike rate of 164.31.
Mohammad Siraj
Mohammad Siraj, who has influenced his deadly bowling on the England tour, has also not been selected in the Asia Cup squad. He bowled brilliantly in the absence of Jasprit Bumrah in England, but he did not find a place in the T20 team. Fans on social media are also raising questions on this.
Talking about T20 records in International cricket of Mohammad Siraj, he has got very few opportunities. Siraj has taken 14 wickets in 16 matches. But the way he performed in England, it was expected that he would be selected in the team.
