Oman cricket team must be playing in the Asia Cup for the first time, but the story of its players has been very struggling. The story seems inspiring from playing on cement pitches to Asia Cup after spending hours in office. Captain Jatinder Singh says that his first goal was to get a job, he has always placed cricket in second place.

Talking to the news agency PTI, he said, “Most of the players of the team used to do office jobs and then manage the cricket career. Now I would like to say that representing Oman in the Asia Cup is like a dream come true. Our team is very excited and desperate to do well in the tournament.”

Play on cement pitch

Oman captain Jatinder Singh said that he used to play on Turf Ground, Cement Pitch. He then received the Astro Turf Pitch in 2008 and finally started playing in the field in 2011. A bitter truth is that some players left this difficult journey in the middle. But players like Jatinder Singh and Sufian Mahmood stayed till the end and today have pulled the team to the Asia Cup.

Parents did not get support
