Asia cup 2025: The hearing of the allegations against Team India captain Suryakumar Yadav has been completed before the final of the Asia Cup 2025. The ICC started this process on the complaint of the Pakistani Cricket Board (PCB). In fact, after winning the September 14 against Pakistan, Suryakumar dedicated the match to the victims of the Indian Armed Forces and Pahalgam terror attack, who was part of Operation Sindoor, due to which the PCB lodged an objection, calling it a “political statement”.
Match referee decided
Match referee Richie Richardson has given an official warning about Suryakumar Yadav’s statement after hearing the entire case. BCCI COO Hemang Amin and Cricket Operations Manager Sumit Mallapurkar were also present at this hearing with the Indian captain. Richardson sent a mail to the BCCI and wrote that Suryakumar’s statement can affect the image of the game, but it does not fall under the category of serious crime.
How much will be punished?
According to ICC rules, this case has been considered a violation of Level-1. No player is banned to break the level. However, the player can be fined match fees or demerit marks. The good news is that this action will not affect Suryakumar’s possibility of playing in the final.
Captain Surya will enter the finals
The Indian team has already made it to the finals of Asia Cup 2025. The title match will be played in Dubai on 28 September. Now India is going to face Pakistan once again in the final. It is a matter of relief for Team India that its captain Suryakumar Yadav will be available in the final.
India gets relief
India has been in great form throughout the tournament. In such a situation, the availability of captain Suryakumar Yadav will further increase the confidence of the team. The BCCI has also breathed a sigh of relief, because due to this dispute, there was a danger of the team’s attention before the final. Now Surya will be seen in the field without any restriction and Team India will try his best to win the title.
