Asim munir in white house: Pakistan Army Chief General Aseem Munir received a lunch invitation at the White House with US President Donald Trump. The invitation came at a time when Munir described Trump as a Nobel Peace Prize to stop the possible nuclear war between India and Pakistan. According to media reports, a meeting between US President Donald Trump and Pakistan Army Chief Field Marshal Asim Munir met in a closed room on Wednesday 18 June 2025 at the White House.
Trump’s claim – “I stopped Indo -Pak war”
White House spokesperson Ana Kelly connected the meeting with the recommendation made by Asim Munir and stated that the meeting recognizes Trump’s role in which he claimed to postpone the war between India and Pakistan.
Trump said in a conversation with the media, “I stopped a war… I love Pakistan. Modi is a great person. I talked to him last night. We are working towards the trade agreement with India.” He further added, “India and Pakistan were close to war. Asim Munir was impressive from Pakistan, Modi was active on behalf of India. Both were nuclear forces, but I stopped that war.”
India rejected America offer
According to the information, Trump had requested during a conversation with Prime Minister Narendra Modi to go to America while returning from Canada, so that the two leaders could meet. But Prime Minister Modi rejected this proposal strictly. If PM Modi had gone to America, then at the same time Pakistan’s Army Chief General Asim Munir would also be present there. In such a situation, it was feared that Trump could once again raise the issue of mediation between India and Pakistan. India also clearly rejected this possible political message.
Modi has already made clear
India has already made its position clear on this claim of Trump. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that the ceasefire in May was the result of a mutual talks between the military officials of India and Pakistan and not the intervention of America or any third party. Despite this, Trump has once again tried to bring his “peacemaker” image to the international level, especially on the pretext of recommending the Nobel Peace Prize.
