He said, “The statement made by the so -called interim government of Bangladesh is very condemnable and derogatory. He surrounded the seven northeastern states of India and told Bangladesh as the sole mentor of the Indian Ocean. Younus’s statement highlights the sensitivity of the strategic ‘chicken neck’ corridor of India.”
Mohammad Yunus’s statements should not be taken lightly- Sarma
CM Himanta said, “Historically, many internal elements within India have also made dangerous suggestions like cutting out the chicken neck corridor and separating the north-eastern part of India from the mainland of the country. It is very important to develop strong rail and road network under this very important chicken neck corridor and in the surrounding areas keeping in mind such challenges.”
He said, “Apart from this, the discovery of alternative routes connecting the northeastern part to the mainland of India should also be priority. However, this work will be full of engineering challenges, but it can be completed with its determination and innovation.”
Bangladesh is giving a feast on China to siege India. This attitude of the Bangladesh government is very dangerous for the protection of our North East region. The government is not taking care of Manipur and China is already sitting in the village in Arunachal.
