The Assam government has presented an important opportunity for new recruitment in its police department. State Level Police Recruitment Board (SLPRB), Assam has released the official notification for Police Constable (Sipahi) Recruitment 2025. Through this recruitment drive, candidates will be recruited for a total of 1,715 posts in the state. If you are dreaming of making a career in police, then this is a golden opportunity for you. Under this recruitment process, candidates will be recruited in two main branches. In which 663 posts of Armed Branch (AB) are available and 1,052 posts of Unarmed Branch (UB) are available. Thus the total number of posts is 1,715.
Educational and Physical Qualification
To join the recruitment, different educational qualifications have been prescribed for different branches. For Unarmed Branch (UB), the candidate must have passed at least class 12th. For Armed Branch (AB) it is necessary to have passed class 10th. Physical standards are also necessary to become a police constable. This includes height and chest for men. The minimum age for this recruitment is 18 years and maximum age is 25 years. Apart from this, reserved category candidates will be given age relaxation as per government rules.
Salary and selection process
Candidates selected in this recruitment will get a salary ranging from Rs 14,000 to Rs 70,000 per month. Apart from this, other allowances and facilities will also be available. The candidates will be selected in several stages. Which includes Physical Standard Test (PST), Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Written Examination (Objective Type).
