‘At the height at which he wanted to see the party…’, 2 LJP-R ministers became ministers in Nitish government, while Chirag remembered his father Ram Vilas.


Union Minister and Lok Janshakti Party (LJP)-Ram Vilas chief Chirag Paswan on Thursday said that getting two MLAs of his party a place in the new government of Bihar is a big victory, which his late father Ram Vilas Paswan had dreamed of for a long time.

Chirag said that the election mandate has also entrusted the party with big responsibilities to work towards a developed Bihar. He told journalists, ‘Today is the day to remember Ram Vilas Paswan ji and work to develop Bihar. This is a big day and on this day I first remember my leader and father Honorable Ram Vilas Paswan ji.

Today he would have been very happy, Chirag remembered his father.

LJP (Ram Vilas) won 19 seats in the assembly elections, out of which Sanjay Kumar and Sanjay Kumar Singh took oath as ministers on Thursday. Chirag said, ‘I know that today he (Ram Vilas Paswan) would have been the happiest, today the party has reached the height at which he wanted to see our party. Today two ministers of our party took oath. The results show that the party has definitely won a big victory and I believe that with big victories comes big responsibilities. I am fully aware of those responsibilities.

He said that the party will now start work on war footing to fulfill its vision. Chirag said, ‘From today itself, we will immediately start working towards making Bihar developed, making Bihar first and Biharis first.’

27 ministers including Nitish took oath

Janata Dal United (JDU) chief Nitish Kumar took oath as the Chief Minister of Bihar for a record 10th time at Gandhi Maidan on Thursday. Nitish led the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government and returned to power by winning 202 seats in the 243-member assembly. The NDA government includes 89 MLAs from BJP, 85 from JDU, 19 from Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), five from Hindustani Awam Morcha (Secular) and four from Rashtriya Lok Morcha (RLOM). A total of 27 ministers including Chief Minister Nitish took oath at the ceremony.
