Ascetic Peethadhishwar Jagatguru Paramhans Acharya in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh has given a big statement on the controversy related to Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwaranand. He said that a fair and transparent investigation should be conducted into the allegations against Swami Avimukteshwarananda. If the allegations are proved true in the investigation then they should be punished under the law, but if the allegations are found to be false then they should be honorably acquitted.
Paramahansa Acharya appealed to Swami Avimukteshwaranand and said that he should not become the medium of political parties on this entire issue. He alleged that Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav, Aam Aadmi Party and Congress are doing politics on this issue. He said that if these parties really want a complete ban on cow slaughter then they should give a formal written proposal to the government. Politics should not be done this way.
‘Repent for CM Yogi’s statement’
Responding to the controversial statement given regarding Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Paramhans Acharya said that Swami Avimukteshwaranand should atone for his words. He said that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is known for his kindness and if Swami Avimukteshwaranand asks for forgiveness from him, the Chief Minister can also forgive him.
‘It is immoral to put pressure on the government’
On the 40-day ultimatum given by Swami Avimukteshwaranand, Paramhans Acharya said that it is not appropriate to put any kind of immoral pressure on the government. He clarified that no country can be suddenly declared a Hindu nation and similarly it is not possible to implement a complete ban on cow slaughter in a day.
