Shiv Sena (UBT) activists beat up an auto driver for not speaking Marathi in Palghar district of Maharashtra. Its video is becoming fiercely viral on social media. At the same time, the statement of BJP MP Nishikant Dubey has come out regarding this incident.
BJP MP Nishikant Dubey posted on an X handle on the fight with an auto driver for not speaking Marathi and said, “Thackeray’s party- do not believe in the ghosts of the family.”
‘Case not registered at the moment’
Please tell that the police said on Sunday (July 13) that we have seen the video of the auto driver but no formal complaint has been received in this case so far, so no case has been registered yet. A local official of Uddhav Thackeray -led Shiv Sena (Ubatha) claimed that the auto driver had been taught a lesson and said that no person who insults the Marathi language and the state would not be spared.
Significantly, the migrant auto driver living in Virar area of Palghar had allegedly made derogatory remarks against the Marathi language, Maharashtra and Marathi symbols, whose video also went viral on social media earlier, to which social media and local political groups had given sharp reactions.
In the new video that surfaced on Saturday, it was seen that a group of Shiv Sena (Ubatha) workers, including women, were seen slapping the driver on the busy road, later he was asked to publicly apologize to the person and his sister.
‘Taught lessons to auto ones’
Uday Jadhav, the head of the Virar city unit of Shiv Sena (Ubatha) at the scene, later justified the action. Jadhav told reporters, “If someone dare to insult Marathi language, Maharashtra or Marathi, he will be replied in the style of Shiv Sena. We will not sit silent.” He said, “The driver dared to speak badly about Maharashtra and Marathi Manush. He was taught a strong lesson. We asked him to apologize to the people of the state and the people he had hurt.”
