After the formation of the Bharatiya Janata Party government in Delhi, the Ayushman scheme of the central government has been implemented in the state. Distribution of Ayushman card has also been started to the residents of Delhi from 10 April. With the implementation of this scheme in Delhi, 6.54 lakh families will get its benefit. Under this scheme in Delhi, an additional topup of Rs 5 lakh is being given by the state government to the residents of Delhi, that is, people will be able to get free treatment of up to Rs 10 lakh under Ayushman Yojana.

The Aam Aadmi Party government said that under the health schemes of the then Delhi government, people are already being treated without expenditure, so this scheme is not required. In such a situation, do you know which states of India still do not apply the Ayushman scheme? In which states people cannot get free treatment through Ayushman card and how much help is given to the government for treatment in these states? Let’s know …
Ayushman card does not run in West Bengal
Like the Aam Aadmi Party in Delhi, the Mamata Banerjee government of West Bengal did not implement the Ayushman scheme in the state. However, the state government runs another scheme for the treatment of the people. In West Bengal, a scheme called ‘Health Saathi’ is being run in place of Ayushman Yojana. Under this scheme, beneficiaries get cashless treatment up to Rs 5 lakh. Under the Ayushman scheme, the government of West Bengal also issues smart cards to the beneficiaries, through which free treatment can be done.
This plan used to run in Delhi
Before the implementation of Ayushman scheme in Delhi, Kejriwal Sarkar used to run Arogya Kosh Yojana. The government had not set any limit under this scheme, that is, the cost of treatment was borne by the government. Citizens of Delhi, who have a voter card of Delhi, could take advantage of this scheme. Under this scheme, citizens also used to get 136 types of free medical tests.
